Mediterranean villa and pool garden
Mediterranean Villa and Garden Renovation
In progress….
A collaborative project with Maria Ramis Architecture, this Mediterranean villa and garden is undergoing a transformation to its interior, facade and pool garden.
A new Mediterranean garden that flows from interior to exterior will provide year round outdoor living. The existing front garden has a severe slope with soil erosion and a poorly placed olive tree that will be transplanted. The new design will incorporate stone retaining walls with a built in bench and drought tolerant planting creating a low maintenance garden to enjoy as a respite from the summer heat. The South facing, back garden includes covered terraces for sun protection and views to the pool which will be renovated to complement the new interiors. Subtle and elegant interior details will be translated to some exterior elements. The majority of lawn will be removed to allow for a softly textured and interesting pool garden with a diverse range of Mediterranean trees, shrubs, perennials, and ornamental grasses.
Terrain: Urban plot with close proximity to the sea, screening issues from surrounding neighbors, soil erosion due to sloped front and side garden.
