Garden Renovation for an exclusive home Sencelles, Mallorca, Spain
Late Spring 2025 Installation
We were hired by the client, a designer, to redesign the existing garden which lacked cohesion and integration into the surrounding landscape. The beautiful home is set in Biniali with views to the Tramuntana mountains. Our design undertook a reorganization of existing palm trees and olive trees, redirecting views to the mountain scenery, while providing more intimate garden settings through layers of vegetation and some screening of unwanted views. A courtyard garden was reimagined to provide seasonal changes in the planting design. We also reduced a signifcant amount of lawn to incorporate an interesting palm garden with meadow. The planting is tonal, textured and soft. An introduction of large trees help to scale the house and also break the existing grid of the olive grove. Pottery also plays a key role in adding interest.
Terrain: interior part of Mallorca, flat terrain with some exposure to Tramuntana winds.
